BitLife is celebrating the spooky Halloween season by hosting another scavenger hunt. From now until November 4, 2024, you’ll complete various themed tasks, ranging from adopting animals to mourning the loss of a family member. Finishing the event rewards you with an exclusive pair of sunglasses, making it worthwhile if you enjoy collecting character cosmetics.
BitLife Halloween scavenger hunt guide
BitLife’s Halloween scavenger hunt has 11 themed tasks, ranging from mourning family members to landing particular jobs. Every objective has a hint, with ads available for more detailed descriptions, but you’ll mostly rely on context clues to solve them. Here’s a list of every Halloween scavenger hunt objective and their answers:
Hint | Answer |
---|---|
Black Cat | Adopt a cat |
Holey Sheet | Compliment a spirit |
Jack-o-Lantern | Engage in porch pirating |
Muh Strong Hand | Become a pickpocket |
Mummy | Taxidermy a relative |
Shrunken Head | Visit the witch doctor |
Sugar Skull | Mourn a dead family member |
Vampire Coffin | Become a mortician |
Werewolf Fur | Adopt a dog |
Witch’s Brew | Have a drink at the club |
Witch’s Broomstick | Fly a plane |
While some require minimal effort, others are tough to solve, especially if you’ve never experimented with certain gameplay mechanics. Let’s check out each task in more detail.
Black Cat
The Black Cat task is one of the easiest you’ll encounter, as it simply requires you to adopt a cat. You can do this by heading into Activities, Pets, and either the Animal Shelter or Cat Breeder.
For this task, I stuck with the animal shelter to complete it and the Werewolf Fur one later. It’s up to you which you pick, but I can fully confirm that this one works for both.
Holey Sheet
Next is the comically named Holey Sheet, which has you complimenting spirits that haunt your houses. To find a spirit, purchase any haunted property through the real estate menu before entering its Spirits menu. I got lucky and had a palace from my Fairest in the Land challenge playthrough, but you can use any that’s available.
After buying a haunted property, pick any of the ghosts in the menu and try to summon it. Try to find a friendly spirit to decrease your odds of getting attacked. It’s rare for it to succeed during the first few attempts, so don’t be afraid to try several times.
Once you summon the spirit, you’ll find various reaction options, from trying to stay calm to letting out a bloodcurdling scream. Your goal is to encounter a list that has “compliment it.” You’re not guaranteed to spot this every time, so just keep going and try not to anger the spirit. Eventually, you’ll find a list with this option, allowing you to complete the task.
Jack-o-Lantern
The Jack-o-Lantern task is next on the list, and it’s all about swiping packages from people’s porches. It wouldn’t be a BitLife scavenger hunt without some wacky business. You can pirate porches by entering the Activities, Crime, and Porch Pirate menus.
Although the name may suggest you have to steal a particular object like a pumpkin, this isn’t the case. As soon as you successfully pirate at least one porch, you’ll complete the objective instantly, bringing you one step closer to finishing the Halloween scavenger hunt.
Muh Strong Hand
The Muh Strong Hand and the previous Jack-o-Lantern tasks go hand-in-hand, as both are crime-related. While the last objective had you stealing packages from porches, this one is about pickpocketing.
Aside from it being a different activity, the process is the same. Head into Crime, pick Pickpocket and take from someone’s pockets until you knock out the task. Both have fairly high success rates, but using a character with the criminal special talent will increase your odds further.
Mummy
If you were looking for a slightly challenging task in the Halloween scavenger hunt, this is arguably one of the first you’ll find. The Mummy task requires you to wait for one of your character’s relatives, like a parent or sibling, to pass away before deciding how you’ll handle their remains. You can either wait for this to happen naturally or resort to extreme means to hasten the process. How you handle that is up to you.
Once one of your character’s relatives passes away, you’ll find options such as burying, cremating, or taxidermizing for handling their remains. Pick taxidermy before paying its hefty fee. Expect to fork out anywhere between $20,000 to $70,000 for it.
With the cost in mind, make sure to save up some money early on in preparation for this task. Alternatively, you can swap over to a wealthy character and wait for this pop-up to appear before completing the objective.
Shrunken Head
Your next objective, Shrunken Head, requires you to visit a witch doctor. You don’t need any illnesses to do this as long as you visit and consume whatever peculiar item the witch offers you.
Oh, and you also have to survive the encounter. Let’s just say my first attempt failed because I didn’t read the text box of the witch doctor prescribing my character a fly agaric mushroom. We all make mistakes.
For this particular task, I’d suggest creating a character, making some money, and visiting the witch doctor. That way, you can just retry on the same character or create a new one if they pass away until one of the attempts works.
Sugar Skull
Next on the list is the Sugar Skull objective asking you to mourn the loss of a family member. If you have already completed the Shrunken Head task, this one pairs well with it. You can mourn a family member by heading into Relationships, selecting the person, and tapping “mourn his/her death.”
Vampire Coffin
Becoming a mortician during BitLife’s Halloween season requires your character to go to University and study Biology. This is the only degree that qualifies you for the job, so make sure you pursue this first, refreshing the list if necessary.
Once you finish your Biology degree, head into the full-time jobs list and scroll through, restarting the BitLife app if needed, until you find a Mortician position. From here, you just need to apply for the position and pass the interview to knock out the scavenger hunt objective.
Werewolf Fur
Like the Black Cat objective, this requires you to adopt an animal. This time, though, it’s a dog. I’ll admit that while completing this, I thought you had to buy a zoo and find a wolf. Millions of dollars later, I realized this wasn’t the case, and ended up buying every animal type in the in-game pet store until I unlocked this one.
The process for completing this is identical to the Black Cat task, except you’re adopting a dog instead of a cat. Nonetheless, you can head into the Dog Breeder or Animal Shelter before picking one up and finishing the task.
Witch’s Brew
Next is the Witch’s Brew task, where you’ll go to a club and drink. Although simple, it’s entirely luck-based. Each time you visit a club, there’s a chance someone will offer you an alcoholic drink. Accept the offer to quickly knock out the objective: ten down, one to go.
Witch’s Broomstick
The last task of the Halloween Scavenger Hunt requires you to purchase and fly a plane. Although the description suggests you can finish this by going on vacation, I tried this initially and can confirm it doesn’t work.
Instead, you’ll need to buy and fly your own plane, requiring the following steps:
- Attend flight school
- Get your pilot’s license
- Buy a plane
The first two are available through the Licenses menu in Activities, while the third is accessible in the regular shopping menu. Fortunately, they’re simple to complete as long as you can afford lessons and a plane. I used a $500,000 airplane for this, but the exact type you get is up to personal preference.
Once you purchase and fly a plane, you’ll finish this objective, marking the end of BitLife’s Halloween Scavenger Hunt.
