Twitter. Maybe you’ve heard of it. The social networking and micro-blogging service has been picking up steam as of late, becoming increasingly popular with members of the media and other people who think the universe cares what they have to say.
Take me, for instance; I have a Twitter account. Dtoid has an account, too (but it’s not to be confused with Destructoid, which apparently has nothing to do with us). We’re not alone, and there’s certainly people more important that us who use Twitter, including Newsweek’s N’Gai Croal, Microsoft’s Major Nelson, PlayStation Blog‘s Jeff Rubenstein, and more.
In fact, there’s too many to list here. So thank goodness for Sam Houston’s Game Industry Tweet Web site, which breaks down the industry’s Twitter accounts down into four categories — press, companies, public relations, and communities. So if following bits of people’s lives in 140 characters or less sounds like your kind of thing, check out the list, which Houston claims he’ll be updating regularly.
