There are a lot of new puzzles and riddles in Nightingale that need to be completed in order to progress. Some of these puzzles are harder than others to figure out, and one of the trickiest ones involves Taliesin.
Upon entering an Astrolabe Forest Realm, you’ll be able to find Taliesin nearby, and he’ll ask you to unravel five riddles. To do this, you have two options. Well, three, if you count brute forcing your way through the answers as many have done previously.
Option 1: Search the length and breadth of the realm for the five poems and then decipher them, running the risk of making an incorrect guess and getting cursed.
Option 2: Keep reading, because we’ve got all the answers right here.
All Taliesin riddle answers in Nightingale
As previously stated, the answers to each riddle can be found in poems located across the Astrolabe Realm and are obtained by completing Bastilles or clearing infestations. These can be hard to track down, so if you want to get this quest completed in a hurry, here are all five riddles, and where you can find their codex entries and the answers.
The order in which you need to answer these riddles may vary, with riddles four and five in particular occasionally being switched, but the answers will remain the same. You’ll need to have completed each Bastille before Taliesin will accept your answer to the riddle.
Getting an answer wrong will place a curse on you, but this is nothing more than making you tired and hungry. To counter this, make sure to have some food on hand and place a Bed Roll down to get some rest if needed.
Riddle one
“I shall drift to and fro
Do you know my tale of woe?
I must say, I’m quite shy
Yet I linger in their shrine
For I must guard all their words
What am I that Fae spurned?”
Location: Bastille of Insight
Answer: Wisps
Riddle two
“Clear my fears and claim my land
Wipe your tears and make your stand
If you stay, we shall fight
Come what may, hold on tight
Which little beastie does not bite?”
Location: Infestation
Answer: The Darkweaver
Riddle three
“Here, now here, now here
Chimes for you to hear
Unite my light and win true sight
Of what gave Fae their first fright
I’m still there for you to pry
What am I?”
Location: Bastille of Intellect
Answer: Hope Echoes
Riddle four
“There is a secret to this place
A wonder that stood with such grace
It is here I made my climb
To claim lost treasures lost to time
One more flower for my crown of fame
Which of these is not my name?”
Location: Bastille of Agility
Answer: Eliffin
Riddle five
“Rah Rah Rah
Make them ooh, make them ah
Seize thy sword, put them down
Cast thy spell, take their crown
The crowd awaits for us all
But, for whom do they call?”
