Oda teased the fans with a silhouette of a mysterious man waiting for the Straw Hats on Elbaf Island. This was more than enough to get the fans engaged and find out who this character might be. From the silhouette of this character, it appears that he is drinking something from a bottle as indicated by the SFX icon. Moreover, this character must have unlocked an advanced form of observation haki as he recognized that Luffy and co are sailing to Elbaf.
That said, let’s take a look at some of the characters who match the mysterious silhouette:
Scopper Gaban: The Left-Hand Man of Gol D. Roger
Whenever a silhouette gets teased, One Piece fans automatically think of the character being Scopper Gaban. For those who aren’t aware, Gaban is claimed to be the left-hand man of Gol D. Roger, similar to how Sanji is to Luffy. Fans have expected the return of the left hand of Roger for a long time. Luffy’s life has always been tied to the Roger Pirates throughout the story.
Gaban’s name includes a metal’s name similar to ‘Silvers’ Rayleigh, ‘Gol D.’ Roger. This connection suggests that he was a prominent and strong figure of the Roger Pirates during their era. Therefore, many fans believe that it is time for Scopper Gaban to appear and train Luffy as Elbaf is considered to be the final training arc.
Loki: The Prince of Elbaf
The next promising contender we have is the Prince of Elbaf, Loki. He was first introduced in the Whole Cake Island arc where he attempted to marry Lola, the 23rd daughter of Big Mom. As the prince of the homeland of the giants, he rules the land with his army of giants, which is said to be the strongest military force worldwide.
Loki hasn’t made any other appearance other than being teased as a silhouette in the WCI arc. It would be perfectly meaningful if the mysterious character from One Piece chapter 1124 was actually the Prince of Elbaf himself. We have been waiting to meet him for a long time, and this is the right moment to do so!
Shiki the Golden Lion: A Long-Awaited Return
Last but not least, we have Shiki the Golden Lion, the admiral of Golden Lion Pirates. Fans had hoped for Shiki to have some sort of connection with the Wano Country and were eager for him to make an appearance in the Wano arc. Based on the colored page, fans believed this mysterious man is Shiki, but some people also claim him to be Scopper Gaban. Therefore, Shiki could also be this mysterious character, although the chances are very low at this moment.
Moreover, if you are thinking it’s Shanks, I’m afraid to say it’s not him. Shanks was seen leaving Elbaf along with his crewmates during Vegapunk’s broadcast. Therefore, it certainly couldn’t be him.
