Today’s theme is straightforward, and so is the puzzle. I began with the words TEMPLE and DUKE at the bottom of the grid. I then discovered the word BROWN right above them, which confirmed that the answer to today’s Spangram is indeed UNIVERSITIES.
After that, it was a race against time to find the remaining words, which I did relatively quickly except for the answer TUFTS on the right.
