Gamescom 2024 is bringing a lot of new and exciting announcements already. Our focus right now is on Nvidia and all the amazing tech it showcased. The News of the Hour is an exciting partnership to make gaming monitors cost-effective. In its latest partnership with MediaTek, Nvidia brings G-Sync to more monitors across the globe.
MediaTek Will Power G-Sync Media Display
MediaTek is a leading player in monitor technology, capturing over 50% of the global market. Nvidia has announced that MediaTek will produce scalers infused with G-Sync technology. This collaboration ensures that all monitors equipped with the latest MediaTek scalers will feature G-Sync, enhancing the gaming experience for users.
Nvidia claims that this partnership will make G-Sync more cost-effective since no additional hardware installation will be needed to enable the technology. By integrating G-Sync into MediaTek scalers, the requirement for a separate module is eliminated. Although G-Sync will initially be available only in upcoming scalers, Nvidia has indicated that more MediaTek scalers will support G-Sync in the future.
This advancement may also extend to smart TV monitors soon. Given that many smart TVs, including Fire TV, utilize MediaTek scalers, there is potential for Nvidia to add G-Sync support for these devices as well. While this is not confirmed, the possibilities for future enhancements are promising!
