A new Naruto event called the “Konoha Experience” took place yesterday at the esteemed Le Grand Rex cinema and concert venue in Paris. The creators of Naruto and Boruto, Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto, respectively, were both present for a meeting with the fans. During this event, it is heavily rumored that Kishimoto sensei hinted at his next manga to the fans.
Kishimoto Has a Possible New Manga in the Works
At the Konoha Experience event, held at the largest cinema hall in Europe, fans had the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with Kishimoto and Ikemoto. Currently, the interview is being translated by fans in parts, and snippets are gradually being shared with the community on X (formerly Twitter).
During the interview, Kishimoto sensei revealed that the story and art for Boruto: Two Blue Vortex are both being led by Mikio Ikemoto. For those who believed that Kishimoto had taken over the Boruto series entirely, he clarified that he has merely been supervising the sequel and provided Mikio with a template for the story earlier. This has allowed Kishimoto to enjoy more free time with his family after dedicating years to the Naruto series.
Recently, the author teased fans by stating that he is looking for encouragement from his friends and family to embark on his new manga project. In a translated statement, he expressed, “It’s a difficult question. I think I have a goal, but the most important thing is to spend time with my family. I love the moments with the fans, I want to have a little more. I think that in these moments I find motivation and will for a new work.”
As news of Kishimoto's potential new manga spread, fans took to social media to express their excitement:
