Mastering Souls In Deadlock: Your Ultimate Guide

When it comes to it, Souls are literally the soul of Deadlock. To get stronger and win a game, you must collect as many souls as possible. Although it might look easy, you will always notice your opponent is dominating you on the soul count out of nowhere. So keep reading as we tell you the best ways to get souls in Deadlock.

Prioritize Farming in Lane

Amidst all the kills and chaos as a Deadlock player, do not forget the fundamentals. No, it’s not finding the best build. It is dominating your lane. Make sure you prioritize the last hits on the creeps to gather enough souls. Additionally, shoot the soul balls that appear after a creep in the lane dies to maximize your gains.

While just killing enemy creeps seems sufficient, you can further maximize your souls by denying your own creep’s souls. This strategy not only takes the soul away from your enemies but also grants you a bonus soul. The soul count for each creep will scale higher as the game progresses, making this method increasingly effective.

Balance Jungle and Lane Creeps

Another effective way to gather souls in Deadlock is by targeting neutral creeps in the jungle. There are three tiers of jungle camps scattered across the map. In the early game, particularly within the first 10 minutes, you can easily clear tier 1 neutral camps. However, ensure you remain close to your lane to efficiently switch between lane creeps and neutral creeps, especially when your guardian is alive.

Once you’ve defeated the enemy guardians in your lane or have the strength to tackle higher-tier jungle creeps, it’s time to rotate out. Focus on tackling the yellow tier 2 neutrals first instead of the red tier 3 ones. Continuously clearing jungle camps will enrich your soul count significantly, but remember to maintain a balance between jungle and lane farming.

Destroy Boxes and Statues

While it relies on RNG, destroying boxes and statues around the map can yield random buffs, including souls. Although the number of souls obtained this way may not be substantial, it can provide just enough to help you secure that crucial item without risking your life.

Attack the Soul Vending Machine

While boxes may provide random rewards, one guaranteed source of souls is the vending machine scattered throughout the map. Destroying these machines will net you a significant amount of souls. However, be aware that you will lose a portion of your HP when doing so. Only melee attacks can destroy these machines, so plan your approach carefully!

Deliver the Spirit Urn

Another straightforward way to ensure a hefty amount of souls in Deadlock is by delivering the Spirit Urn. The Spirit Urn, or Soul Urn, appears at the 10-minute mark. Once it arrives, grab it and deliver it to the altar for a guaranteed number of souls shared among teammates.

If you are carrying the urn, you will receive 25% more souls from it. Just make sure you’re not caught during the delivery, as your abilities and weapons are blocked during the courier service. Being cautious during this time is crucial for your survival!

Take Objectives

Accomplishing objectives such as destroying guardians, walkers, shrines, and the patron is vital for winning the game. While doing this, you’ll also acquire an enormous number of souls in Deadlock. Always remember to destroy the soul balls that appear, as enemies can deny the souls if you're not quick enough.

That is how you can easily gather souls fast in Deadlock. Ensure that you do not die with unsecured souls in your possession to avoid losing them. What’s your favorite way to collect souls in Deadlock?
