At WWDC 2024 and the ‘Glowtime’ September event, Apple previewed an array of Apple Intelligence features coming to iPhone 15 Pro models and the new iPhone 16 lineup. While Apple’s suite of AI features sparks excitement, the delayed and staggered release has left many consumers puzzled. The Cupertino tech giant announced that the features would only be available to the public in U.S. English via an iOS 18 version arriving in October, with plans to expand its AI system to other countries later this year. Notably, India and other nations were not included in the initial rollout, leaving fans in waiting mode. Surprisingly, reports from The Verge suggest that Apple Intelligence will be available in seven additional previously unannounced countries in 2025. Here’s the list of countries where Apple Intelligence is expected to arrive:
- India (English)
- Singapore (English)
- Italy (Italian)
- Germany (German)
- Vietnam (Vietnamese)
- South Korea (Korean)
- Portugal (Portuguese)
So, Apple Intelligence is set to arrive in India in 2025. Apple has previously announced that Apple Intelligence will first be available as part of iOS 18.1, which will include U.S. English. Following this, the features will expand to localized English for the UK, Australia, Canada, South Africa, and New Zealand in the iOS 18.2 update, likely to be released in December. This means that users in India, Singapore, Italy, and other nations will have to wait until 2025. Due to regulations like the Digital Markets Act, Apple will limit its Apple Intelligence system to Apple Silicon Macs and will not release it on iPhones and iPads in the EU.
It’s worth noting that iOS 18.1 and Apple Intelligence are already available in beta versions. If you have downloaded an iOS 18 developer or public beta on your iPhone, you can access initial AI features such as Writing Tools, Phone Call Recording, Clean-Up Tool, and Summarize Web Pages.
Apple launched the new iPhone 16 series with a major focus on Apple Intelligence. However, these phones won’t come with AI features right out of the box. Instead, Apple Intelligence features will gradually roll out later this fall, starting with a limited set of features, while the complete version is expected by 2025. Regardless of your location, you may need to play the waiting game as Apple fine-tunes its offerings.
As consumers eagerly anticipate the launch, it’s essential to stay updated on the latest developments surrounding Apple’s AI innovations. Whether you’re a tech enthusiast or a casual user, understanding these changes can enhance your experience with Apple products.
